Ashland High School alumni are carrying on a tradition of giving.

When a graduating class of Ashland High School celebrates their 50th reunion, they commonly give a collective memorial gift to Ashland Schools. A critical need for new furniture and display cases in the AHS library has been expressed by the school staff, and therefore they’re hosting a giving campaign for all 1973 classmates — and the community!

From Carol Jensen, organizer of the AHS Class of 1973 fundraiser: “Even though many of you may not have spent much time in the library (wink), buying furniture for the library is something that benefits the entire study body and helps keep a literary life-of-the-mind alive and well.”

Ashland Schools Foundation will be matching donations up to $2,500, resulting in a $5,000 gift to the AHS library if the fundraising goal is met.

Aimee Cork, AHS librarian, has chosen several floor displays and seating options that would help make the library a welcoming and comfortable hub of reading and learning. You can see the displays and seating below:
